Rebel forces in the Democratic Republic of Congo say they are pulling back their soldiers on two fronts in the east of the country. A spokesperson for the rebels said this would prevent clashes with Congolese government forces. If the corridor is created it would allow the UN to send in humanitarian aid to the region. There are over a quarter of a million refugees living there.
