Chinese officials called off the relay of the Olympic torch through Paris on Monday after protesters tried to block its path. The flame was extinguished at least twice as demonstrators protesting against China's crackdown on Tibet stopped the relay from progressing. Officials finally decided to put the torch on a bus. The British leg of the relay faced similar disruptions on Sunday, and more protests are expected as the flame makes its way to Beijing.
