Passengers and crew overpower a man who tries to blow up a US airliner

US President Barack Obama is ordering increased air travel security after a light explosion aboard a Delta Airlines jet. US Intelligence officials say a Nigerian national tried to light an explosive device, as the aircraft was landing in Detroit with 278 people aboard. It was enroute from Amsterdam. News agencies report the suspect has admitted ties with Al Qaeda. Two passengers are reportedly lightly injured.
