Nestlé has announced what it says is a major new initiative to end child labor in the cocoa industry. The global food giant has engaged the Fair Labor Association to monitor its supply chains throughout Ivory Coast, the world’s biggest exporter of cocoa. The announcement comes 10 years after the world’s major chocolate producers signed an international agreement aimed at ending child labor.
