German Chancellor Angela Merkel has called for tighter regulation and stricter oversight of international financial markets. "There should be no more gaps," said the chancellor. Her comments come ahead of a major meeting later today here in Berlin of European leaders. The aim of the gathering: to map out a common European stance ahead of the G20 summit in London in early April.
