For many artists, making a living from writing, especially from writing poems, is a struggle. Poetry is regarded a more esoteric skill than say detective novels. For this reason, it is traditionally a hard-sell when it comes to moving books off shelves.. We spoke with one young poet about the challenges involved in making poetry her profession.
