DW-WORLD.DE: Who will be coming from France for a visit during the World Cup?

Genevieve Maselli: Most of the tickets have been reserved for large companies. They invite their business clients and we women have little chance. So, there will basically be rich men sitting in the stadiums. I tried to get tickets on the Internet, but had no success. But I will still come to Germany and watch the games on the public viewing screens.

How many French fans will follow your lead?

I have no idea. In France, people aren’t talking about the World Cup that much yet. The French are interested in their team when it wins. But that doesn’t look good right now.

Do you think that France will get ousted in the preliminaries?

That could happen. The team is carrying out internal battles at the moment. You can't compare them to our world champions from 1998. As long as they don’t start playing with more enthusiasm, I don’t expect much to happen.

Who do you support beside the national team?

Olympique Lyonnais, of course. They were just eliminated in the Champions League, but they are still more successful than ever before. We are going to get the championship and then grab the cup!
