Erik Campano joined the Newslink team in spring 2003, and has since also read and written the hourly News. Among other special projects, he hosted Deutsche Welle's live coverage of the funeral of Pope John Paul II, and did in-depth reporting on the 2004 US Presidential Election. He also heads the online German Science Weekly Highlight. He has a special interest in programming on science and religion. Erik Campano received his Bachelor of Science degree in Symbolic Systems from Stanford University in 2000.
