Britain: Flight into Space

This year could see the next tourist visit to outer space. British billionaire Richard Branson is offering short space trips for the equivalent of €150,000.

The most important prerequisite for a flight with Virgin Galactic, aside from a fat bank account, is sound physical fitness. Several hundred aspiring amateur astronauts have already booked flights and are training assiduously. When all the test flights are completed, the first passengers will start on their space adventure. The flight lasts several hours; the highlight is spending a few minutes in zero gravity.
