Europe is being hammered by winter storms that have disrupted road, rail and air traffic from the Baltic to the Mediterranian. Britain is facing its harshest winter in 30 years and heavy storms in Germany and France have led to highways being blocked and scores of flights being cancelled. All of Germany has been covered in a blanket of snow and forecasters say there is still a lot more to come.
