Lena – Second Single in the Charts

Lena’s second single, „Touch a New Day“, entered the German charts at number 13. That may be a disappointing follow-up to her number one hit, “Satellite”, but Lena is still on the radar.

From a German high school student to Europe’s crowned Princess of Pop; Lena experienced a rapid rise to fame this past spring, culminating in her coronation at the Eurovision Song Contest in Oslo. Her winning title, “Satellite”, stormed the charts in several European countries, with her debut album, “My Cassette Player”, selling more than 400,000 copies in Germany. Lena’s second single puts her back in the limelight, and she plans to release a second album before heading out on tour next spring.

Die Scorpions – Tour Stop in Chicago

The most successful German rock band of all time is currently on a farewell tour around the world. popXport caught up with the rock music veterans at a stop in the US. We asked the band what this tour means to them, and if it really will be their last.

The Scorpions have been in the business for more than 40 years. The band from Hanover has filled up stadiums around the world, selling nearly one hundred million records and releasing several albums that reached the Top Ten in the US. The Scorpions announced their break-up in January, followed by the lauch of a two-year world tour that will see the band play some 200 concerts on five continents. popXport caught up with The Scorpions at a tour stop in Chicago.
