Under Amsterdam

Amsterdam architect Rob Torsing has a futuristic vision for a city beneath the canals of the Dutch capital.

If built, his project AMFORA which will give the city underground cinemas, supermarkets, swimming pools, sports complexes and more, all located under the network of canals that criss-cross the city. The design would give Amsterdam much needed space and make it a more pedestrian-friendly city.
