The Bayreuth Festival has an international reputation not just for the music but also because of the numerous celebrities who attend every year. For many prominent figures from sport, politics and show business the event is a must. The first Bayreuth Festival started on 13. August 1876 and this year it is taking place for the 99th time. The festival is so exclusive that tickets have to be booked years in advance. This year’s 54,000 tickets have long been sold out.
