No Angels don’t take no for an answer. After vanishing from the scene, they‘re back with a new album called “Welcome to the Dance”. The first German girl group cast on a TV talent show back in 2000, No Angels delivered one hit after the other.
After selling some five million records, the band quickly became continental Europe‘s most successful girl group. But it all came to an end just three years later when the band split up. No Angels regrouped and pulled off a comeback in 2007, but one year later they suffered a setback by coming in third from last representing Germany in the Eurovision Song Contest. Despite the disappointment, the girls are now hoping their new album will pick up on their earlier success.
The queen of Balkan pop has released a new album called “The Sweetest Hangover”. Miss Platnum made a name for herself with her first two LPs after Seeed vocalist Peter Fox drew attention to the German-Romanian singer from Berlin back in 2004.
The two have since become good friends and often work together. Peter Fox even directed the video to Miss Platnum’s current single, “She moved in”. You’ll get to know the Berlin artist on popXport.
We’ll also bring you the hottest new releases and the latest from the German music scene.
