Reichart is feeling a paradigm shift

DW-TV: What would be the ideal situation in terms of the environment in 2030 in your opinion?
Marcel S. Reichart: It would certainly be ideal to have a global environmental policy. It would be ideal to have a global understanding of CO2 and to have the big countries – the US, China, India, Europe – place this issue at the top of their agenda. A lot has been happening in that regard. I think that a mind-shift is taking place at the moment.
What's the greatest invention you could imagine to become reality by 2030?
That's a good question. I don't know.
What drives you?
I think it's just an incredible gift that we have here in this world. I think that it's a paradigm shift for our generation that's similar to the one that happened maybe 150 years ago. Digitalisation and globalisation are changing the world to an enormous extent. I think that this generation can feel this. But because of that, we have a global responsibility. It's the task of this generation at the beginning of a new millennium. It's questions regarding things such as the environment, justice, poverty – topics that we have to deal with. I think what drives me is to be part of this change.
