Her floorboards are originally from a French monastery, and the home is strewn with souvenirs from Deiters’ trips to Africa and Asia. The artist works on the ground floor. One story above the living room is the library which has a secret doorway.

It's an art form that uses light as a medium and requires careful choreography. Together with co-pioneer Joerg Miedza, he has published a book explaining the technique and featuring spectacular shots.
