MissinCat - an Italian in Berlin
„Light as a pinch of summer with a dash of melancholy” - that’s how the press is describing the folk-pop of Caterina Barbieri, alias MissinCat.
In 2008, the Italian born singer backed up British soul powerhouse Amy Winehouse with her original songs. One year later, MissinCat moved to Berlin, where she found a record company and released her first album, “Back on My Feet”. The critics swooned, her songs were played on the radio, and Cat pounced from venue to venue across Europe and the US, all the way to Australia. Her second album “Wow” was also recorded in Berlin, and we find out how the German capital inspires her in our exclusive portrait of MissinCat.
