For 33 years the Opel Rekord was manufactured in Germany. Over 10 million units were sold. When it was launched in 1953, it was called the Rekord Olympia. From 1971 to 1977 the Opel Rekord D was assembled. Reporter Stefanie Tücking decided to drive one to Heidelberg. It did not take long for her blue 1975 model to attract the attention of passers-by. Many were delighted to reminisce about their experiences with the classic car.
