In the run-up to his inauguration, consumers in the US and around the world lapped it up. The Obama brand, it seems, is on to a winner at the moment. Many people are apparently keen to bask in the Obama limelight. Among them are throngs of distant relatives who have emerged to claim a piece of Obama family lore. It's well documented that the new US President has deep roots in Kenya, and it's from there that his half-uncle Sayid came to Germany to celebrate his nephew's inauguration at a special event in Cologne.
