Urban Cycle Polo takes skill and a lot of balance!
Bicycle Polo is just like traditional Polo – except, as the name suggests, bikes are used instead of horses. It was invented by Irishman Richard J. Mecredy in 1891 and was even a demonstration event at the 1908 London Olympic Games. But in the last year, a variation of the game, Urban Cycle Polo, has started gaining popularity in cities. EuroVox discovers more about the game from the streets of London.
