TV reception abroad: Can I take a satellite receiver with me?

To receive DW you need a digital satellite receiver which is able to receive the uncoded signal from DW.

Below you find the links to the satellite footprints for all of the satellites that Deutsche Welle uses. A satellite specialist should be able to advise you about which receiver is most suitable for the designated area. We recommend you to buy the receiver and/or antenna locally to avoid transport difficulties. This also ensures that you will be able to make claims on your warranty and that the local dealer can check to see if everything is functioning properly.
The overwhelming amount of equipment available on the market, from so many different manufacturers, makes it impossible for us to recommend a particular set or antenna.
