New Parents Find Loaded Pistol in Second-Hand Pram

These days nearly every purchase comes with a special bonus -- like free fries with your burger or 20 percent more in the shampoo bottle. One German couple got a bonus with their buggy that they weren't expecting.

Any secret surprises in this stroller?

A couple of freshly baked parents got quite a shock this week when they discovered a gun while cleaning the second-hand stroller they'd bought in an online auction.

The nine-millimeter pistol was not a plastic toy model. It was loaded with non-baby-proof bullets.

Stick 'em up, buster!

Was this some street gang's way of looking for new blood, or a well-intended special giveaway from a rather deranged online vendor? Kids are growing up faster and faster these days.

Police admitted they were puzzled over the circumstances surrounding the oddly located weapon. They searched the home of the 39-year-old seller, who wasn't able to offer any clues to the case. There was no word on whether his own kids were armed.

The buggy, however, had been parked unused in the basement for three years. It is most likely that someone secretly slipped the weapon into the pram pocket during that time -- either a dangerous offender looking for an innocent way to dispose of the crime weapon, or perhaps it was the seller's three-year-old son.
