The proposals to mitigate climate change have been drawn up by the working group of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change or IPCC created by the United Nations. The working group has already put out two reports this year – the first on the science of climate change and the second on the consequences for ecological systems and human health. Hans Verome, director of WWF’s Global Climate Change Programme, tells Living Planet about the third report due later this week.
