Alfred Kowo is the Chief Executive Officer of Kach Infraprojects, a project implementation company based in Johannesburg that operates within the electricity and renewable energy sectors. After working with PricewaterhouseCoopers South Africa, where he was devoted to performance improvement within advisory services with responsibilities for the African region, he founded and became senior partner of Kowostone Advisory Service, a firm that generates leads and develops projects while linking investors to projects and opportunities in Africa.
Kowo is an alumnus of the Climate Leadership Programme (CLP), a program for Indonesian and South African managers from business, the public sector and civil society organized by Germany's international cooperation organization, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ). A trained and seasoned project and operations expert, Kowo has extensive cross-sectoral capabilities, expertise and experience, particularly in the electricity and renewable energy sectors, transport and logistics, mining, telecommunications, manufacturing, climate change and environment, water and sanitation. He is passionate about innovation and “out-of-the-box creativity” through knowledge and cultural diversity, transformation and sustainable development founded on realistic, results-based leadership.
