María Eugenia Mosquera Alejandro is the founder of VALE TV, a private, non-profit television network. She has a degree in history from the Universidad Central de Venezuela and is a history professor there, as well as an invited professor at the Universidad Complutense and the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona. She has been a publications director at the National History Academy and a judge for several awards, including the Latin American Short Film Festival and the Emmy Awards. At the Cisneros Group, she directed the strategy department among others. She has also organized the Latin American cultural television summit.
