Dávid Bán is program coordinator and researcher at the Anthropolis Association in Budapest, Hungary. He studied cultural anthropology, pedagogy and museology at the University of Miskolc in Hungary and later received a Ph.D. in social sciences at Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest and Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales (School for Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences) in Paris. After working in television and video production, including directing documentaries, he began work as a project assistant and coordinator for different European projects. He is currently involved in promoting the digital storytelling (DST) method in Hungary and co-leads several national and international DST workshops. He is mainly responsible for the editing, introduction and video recording and editing processes. Bán is also co-editor of the Hungarian digital storytelling teaching manual and various DST promotion tools.
