Trevor Knoblich is a project manager for FrontlineSMS, an organization that builds free, open-source software that won the Knight News Challenge in 2011. Knoblich has also worked as a federal policy reporter in Washington, D.C., and as a global humanitarian specialist. At FrontlineSMS he builds tools to help journalists and media outlets around the world improve their ability to gather, track and share news. Knoblich publishes regularly on the PBS Idea lab blog and contributed a chapter to the forthcoming 2nd edition of the book "Citizen Journalism: Global Crises and the Media". His work focuses on the interplay of journalism, technology and citizen participation in news.
