Burkart, Dr. Bettina

Bettina Burkart studied art history, archeology and Italian in Bonn, Germany, and Rome. After completing official journalism training at Deutsche Welle, she continued to work there as a political journalist, first at the news desk and later in the Southeast European department, and finally as the head of the Croatian desk. Since 2008 she has been the full-time equality officer at Deutsche Welle, now in her second term.
