Wenn, Bruno

Bruno Wenn has been chairman of the management board of Deutsche Investitions- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft mbH (DEG) since October 2009. DEG, a member of the KfW banking group, is one of Europe's largest development finance institutions. It finances investments of private companies in developing and transition countries in order to contribute to sustainable economic growth and improved living conditions. After studying economics at Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms University in Bonn, Germany, and subsequently completing post-graduate studies at the German Development Institute, Wenn joined KfW in 1982. From 2006 onwards he headed the division for financial cooperation with Sub-Saharan Africa at KfW.
