Yukie is Coordinator of the Awareness Raising, Communication and Education (ARCE) Unit of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD). Before she assumed the current position, she worked for a various offices of the United Nations in the field of economic and social development over 15 years. Her educational background is outreach and social mobilization. She has a PhD in Media and Communication from London School of Economics.
