Founder and Editor-in-Chief, Radijojo, World Children's Radio Network and Other Youth Radios, Berlin, Germany
Thomas Röhlinger is the founder and editor-in-chief of Radijojo and the World Children's Radio Network. He founded Radiojojo in Germany in 2003, inspired by his then six-year-old son, Jonathan. More recently, he initiated the World Children's Media Foundation.
Röhlinger has developed most of the formats and strategies of Radijojo. Under his guidance, the children's radio network has received numerous distinctions from UNESCO, UNICEF, the UN Alliance of Civilizations, the EU, the German federal government and the president of Germany.
In 2005 he was nominated "Social Entrepeneur of the Year" by the Schwab Foundation/Boston Consulting Group.
Röhlinger received his Master's in sociology in 1998 and an MBA in media management in 2002. He also studied psychology and journalism. He has held countless workshops with schools and youth centers in many countries. He trains unemployed youth and migrants in Berlin and lectures at universities. He is consultant for local and international NGOs.
