Kumar, Prof. Kemal J.

Keval J. Kumar is an adjunct professor at the Mudra Institute of Communications Ahmedabad (MICA) in India. He is a former professor and director of the Symbiosis Institute of Mass Communication, and a former reader in the department of communication and journalism at the University of Pune, where he continues to guide Ph.D. students. He has been a visiting professor at Siegen University, Jacobs University Bremen, and Ohio State University. He is the chief advisor to the NCERT syllabus and textbook committee on media studies. He is the author of Mass Communication in India and co-author of Environmentalism and the Mass Media: The North-South Divide.
