German sports journalist and TV anchorwoman
Valeska Homburg is a well-known German sports journalist and TV anchorwoman, currently for n-tv and LIGA total! She holds a Master’s degree in sports science and has over ten years of experience in journalism. Homburg used to work for the German national public television network, ARD, and has covered the Olympic Games in Beijing and Vancouver as well as the 2010 FIFA World Cup championship games in South Africa. Previously, she worked for various TV channels such as RTL, ZDF and Deutsche Welle. She is currently the only female journalist covering German Bundesliga (premier-league soccer) matches live from the stadiums. Homburg is an active supporter of CARE’s work and recently traveled to Zambia to learn more about education and cultural exchange.
