Director, KMGNE and International Summer University for Audio-visual Communication, Renewable Energy, Energy Efficiency and the Impact of Global Warming, Berlin, Germany
Joachim Borner is the director of KMGNE (Kolleg für Management und Gestaltung nachhaltiger Entwicklung - an interdisciplinary research and training institute for sustainable development) and the International Summer University for Audio-visual Communication, Renewable Energy, Energy Efficiency and the Impact of Global Warming. He was director of the Politics and Environmental Economics Institute at Humboldt University Berlin and director of the “Stiftung Bauhaus” Academy. Borner has an academic background in economy and ecology. He is the leader of the inter-university “Environmental Studies” and was a member of the German parliament's special task force on the protection of humankind and the environment and the ESD Decade roundtable. He conducted several study tours to Belgium, the United States, Canada and Peru. He is a professor for communication of sustainable development at the University Bolivariana in Chile.
