The Camel Man - Farmer Breitling and His Herd
During a trip to Africa, farmer Breitling experienced camels close up for the first time. It was love at first sight and he knew he wanted to keep camels and nothing else anymore. Now his farm is home to more than 80 dromedaries and Bactrian camels. This makes farmer Breitling the master of the biggest camel herd in the whole of Europe. Every year more than 50,000 paying guests visit his camel farm. They’re allowed to ride the animals and feed the calves with bottles. For the past three years, Breitling has used some of his animals for therapy for autistic children. So far the 72-year-old hasn’t found a successor.
