Discover Germany Wins Golden City Gate Prize

DW-TV's travel guide Discover Germany was awarded the Golden City Gate Prize at this year's International Tourism Fair ITB in Berlin.

The programme which was only launched in February won first prize in the category "TV Travel Show". The jury praised the show for its "freshness and variety".

Journalists Christian Hoffmann and Boris Claudi accepted the prize on behalf of DW-TV's Society and Entertainment Department.

95 broadcasters from 33 countries submitted entries to the 6th International Town and City Film Competition.
