This time we visit Frankfurt, Liebenberg Stately Home near Berlin, the Hassberge Hills in the Lower Franconia region and Leipzig
Frankfurt is known mainly as Germany's financial hub, with a skyline of shiny, glass skyscrapers. But the city also has a wider variety of museums and galleries to offer than almost any other city in Germany.
Arts manager Daniela Cappelluti gives some tips to visitors to her city: the Main Äppelhaus, the Hotel Nizza's rooftop terrace and the Club Michel Restaurant.
We're off for a trip out to the country. It's just some fifty kilometers north from Berlin to the small town of Liebenberg. The chateau with its checkered history and sumptuous English garden is surrounded by forests, meadows and lakes.
The Hassberge Hills in northern Bavaria are peppered with castles, some ruined, some not, each with its own legends and tales. We follow the many hiking signs, stop off at the ruins of Altenstein and Lichtenstein and climb over and around impressive rock formations.
We explore Leipzig with Grace del Rosario from Manila, capital of the Philippines, stopping for a look at St. Thomas Church, the Auerbachs Keller and the Baumwollspinnerei modern art gallery.
