Bayern Munich's press spokesman Markus Hörwick confirmed Friday that Norwegian player Martin Odegaard trained with the club's professionals this week in Munich. Hörwick made the comment to reporters on the sidelines of today's press conference at Bayern Munich's Säbener Strasse base, according to a number of German media outlets.

Neither Hörwick nor head coach Pep Guardiola were willing to be drawn into comment on whether Odegaard, the youngest player ever to take part in a EURO qualifier back in October, would actually sign for the Bundesliga club.

"That would be a perfect question for Matthias Sammer," Guardiola said to the gathered journalists, deftly avoiding the question.

So far, Odegaard had been linked to other big clubs across Europe, including Real Madrid and Liverpool, although it is believed that Odegaard visited Bayern Munich to train with the club's juniors last year.

The youngster is set to celebrate his 16th birthday on December 17, meaning that he will be available to transfer away from his current club, Stromsgodset IF, in the Norwegian Premier League.

Back in August, Odegaard's father Hans Erik Odegaard said that over European 30 clubs had expressed interest in signing his son.
