Spain's controversial abortion reform

Lauren Frayer, Madrid, SpainSeptember 26, 2014

Spain's conservative government has scrapped plans to implement stricter abortion laws, following a months-long backlash from the opposition and women's groups. The conservatives had planned to severely restrict the procedure, which has been legal in Spain since 1985. The decision to shelve the reforms has led the justice minister behind the proposal to resign. Lauren Frayer reports from Madrid.
