Stopping the 'grind' in the Faroes

Interview: Helen Seeney speaks to Rosie KunnekeAugust 1, 2014

Over summer, the 'grind' takes place in the Faroe Islands. It involves hunters surrounding pilot whales with boats and then driving hundreds of them into shallower waters where they're killed. The environmental organization Sea Shepherd says the practice constitutes mass slaughter and its campaigners are there to prevent this year's grind. Helen Seeney spoke to the organization's Rosie Kunneke.
