Bundesliga match day 33 in pictures
The league looked pretty much the same after a dizzying afternoon of football in the Bundesliga. But the results set up an almighty relegation tussle in next week's final games.
Wolfsburg win late
A 90th minute goal from Ivica Olic meant that Wolfsburg kept the pressure on Leverkusen in the fight for the final Champions League spot.
Hamburg limp to defeat
Hamburg desperately needed a win to put some space between themselves and automatic relegation, but unfortunately they were up against a Bayern Munich frustrated with their mid-week Champions League exit to Real Madrid. The Bavarians duly pummeled their HSV punchbags 4-1.
Nuremberg cast aside
Nuremberg, a point behind HSV, also required a home win to save themselves. Unfortunately they have the worst home record in the league and duly slumped to a ninth home defeat. This time Hannover beat them 2-0.
Braunschweig's hearts broken
With HSV and Nuremberg both losing, it gradually dawned on fans of bottom club Braunschweig that a single goal could suddenly sweep them above both. With the score still 0-0, they pressed forward - only to be knocked out by an injury-time sucker-punch from Augsburg.
End-of-term fun in Dortmund
With both second-placed Dortmund and mid-table Hoffenheim having nothing special to play for on the penultimate day, Jürgen Klopp's men sauntered to an enjoyable 3-2 win - thanks to some slack defending from both sides.
Gladbach keep chance of Champions League alive
Borussia Mönchengladbach are just three points behind Leverkusen in the last Champions League spot. With a Leverkusen slip and a win against Wolfsburg next week, the Foals could claim it at the last gasp. So they made sure of the necessary three points against Mainz on Saturday - winning comfortably 3-1.
Leverkusen happy
But Leverkusen made sure of their three points as well, with an excellent 2-0 away win against Frankfurt. The absence of long-serving stalwart Stefan Kiessling was possibly a shock to the system (he'd played 118 games before) - but they found the goals from other parts of the team.
Schalke comfortable
Schalke defeated Freiburg 2-0 away to keep a firm grip on third place and automatic Champions League football. Their opponents the Breisgauers, already assured of safety, were probably just basking in the southern German sun.
Two-goal dead rubber
The mid-table clash between Werder Bremen and Hertha Berlin had only one interesting talking point - it was Aaron Hunt's last home game for Bremen. He signed off with two well-taken goals to secure the 2-0 win.
