Bringing the farm to the city

A Berlin company is operating an urban farm in an old factory complex right in the heart of Germany's capital, using hydroponic Technology.

ECF Farm Systems sells lettuce, cucumbers and herbs directly to consumers, avoiding transport costs and middlemen. The concept has proven so successful, they're building urban farms for outside customers.
