Toy manufacturer Mattel is teaming up with San Francisco startup ToyTalk to develop an interactive Barbie doll that has a microphone and speaker - and connects to the Internet via Wi-Fi. Thanks to speech recognition, the new Barbie will be able to have two-way conversations with children by transmitting recorded audio. But critics fear this may lead hackers straight into children's bedrooms.
