February 23, 2012

It’s a business dating back to 1899, when German confectioner Joseph Hipp created baby food for his own children using flour.

The concoction was a hit with his son George, who went on to develop the recipe into an entire business providing baby food. Now George’s grandchildren, Claus Hipp and his brother, are leading a workforce of 2000 employees to produce entirely organic baby food. The company has its ingredients delivered from 6000 organic farmers. Report by Anja Kimmig.
