Two-time Grand Slam winner Andy Murray has qualified for his fourth final in Melbourne, after beating Tomas Berdych 6-7 (6-8), 6-0, 6-3, 7-5 on Thursday at Rod Laver Arena.

Murray broke Berdych's serve in the 11th game of the final set and sealed the match with an ace to advance to Sunday's final. He will now play against either Novak Djokovic or defending champion Stan Wawrinka who are set to play the second semifinal on Friday.

It will be Murray's first grand slam final since he beat Djokovic at Wimbledon in 2013, and the eighth of his career.

"I was obviously disappointed to lose the first set," Murray said in a courtside interview straight after the match. "But I started to feel better and stick to my game and I was more aggressive in the second set."

"I was trying to get him running more, which was important because I needed to change the momentum," Murray added.

Murray's good form in Melbourne is particularly sweet as he came into the tournament recovering from a left shoulder injury after a frustrating 2014 season. His shoulder issue also came after a long pause from tennis due to back surgery.

Murray will be keen to make 2015 his year at Melbourne Park, as he chases an elusive Grand Slam down under. He lost Australian Open finals to Roger Federer in 2010 and Djokovic in 2011, both in straight sets, and again to Djokovic in four sets in 2013.
