The European Union has signalled it believes telemedicine is the future. It's granting four million euros to researchers perfecting technology that will help patients take part in online medical consultations. The system is expected to be rolled out across the Danish Health Service within three years, and across the union not long thereafter. Malcolm Brabant reports.
