A future for the Great Barrier Reef?

Australia’s Great Barrier Reef is world renowned for its marine biodiversity. This vast marine park is home to thousands of species and one-third of the world’s soft corals. But scientists have warned that plans to build a coal port could endanger the World Heritage listed site. DW spoke to Jon Day who recently resigned as Director of Heritage Conservation at the Marine Park Authority.
