声援西藏人士在联合国人权会议前抗议

据路透社报道,联合国人权理事会在日内瓦举行审议中国人权状况的会议前,反对中国政府在西藏政策的人士在联合国大楼上悬挂条幅。这些抗议者来自"支持西藏自由学生"组织,条幅上写有"中国在西藏违反人权-联合国支持西藏"。该组织呼吁联合国成员国在11月初的表决中阻止中国进入人权委员会。联合国人权理事会每四年定期审议成员国人权状况。在周二的会议上,奥地利、德国等西方国家代表批评中国镇压异议人士、审查互联网、限制藏人权利。周二,中国政府发布《西藏的发展与进步》白皮书,称赞"民主改革60年成就"。
